How do I Dispose of Title 1 Inventory?

When Title 1 inventory items are broken, stolen, or beyond repair, an agency may request the approval from TN Alliance for Children and Families to dispose of such items. In such a case, the Title 1 agency will complete and submit a Title 1 Disposition form for review and approval by the TN Alliance Executive Director.

If the agency is requesting to dispose of a piece of equipment or technology purchased within the last 5 years, they must also submit documentation detailing cost to repair vs. replace (from IT staff or specialist) or evidencing item having been stolen or reported missing. If request is approve by the Executive Director, the agency is permitted to dispose of the Title 1 inventory and will acquire necessary witness signatures and submit completed original document to TN Alliance for record keeping purposes.
