In 1952, the Tennessee Association of Child Caring Institutions was established to improve services for children in child care institutions and to provide quality training for child care workers. The organization purpose at that time was to exchange ideas and provide a practical means of cooperation between homes for children and agencies in the child care field.
In the early 2000’s the organization became known as the Tennessee Alliance for Children and Families, an alliance of private child welfare agencies who provide a continuum of services to Tennessee’s most vulnerable children and families.
